Teesdale Sailing Club is located at Grassholme Reservoir in the heart of Teesdale, ‘England's best kept secret’. The club enjoys 140 acres of excellent sailing water amidst beautiful countryside that has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

On shore club facilities comprise a clubhouse with changing rooms, kitchen area and clubroom,  boat park and spacious grounds with fine views across the reservoir. Nearby are the Northumbrian Water visitor centre, and ample parking. Footpaths encircle the reservoir providing access for fishing, bird watching and walking.

On the water the club provides full rescue boat facilities on Sundays, and on Wednesday evenings in May, June, July and August. There are also four club boats (two Toppers, a Miracle and a GP 14) available for use by members.

Teesdale Sailing Club Open Day Monday 26th May 2008 11.00 - 4.00pm

Racing is organised in series and takes place on Sundays throughout the season, with two handicap races on each day. In addition there are special events such as the Grassholme Cup, and pursuit racing to add variety. The club accepts any type of dinghy or windsurfer with Miracles, and Lasers being popular at the moment. Proficient windsurfing members of the club may sail at Selset Reservoir, which in the opinion of many is the best high wind venue in the north of England.

Friendly help and advice are always available for those new to sailing and sailing courses are arranged during the summer to introduce new people to the pleasures of the sport.
